STORM WIN ANOTHER TIGHT CONTEST AGAINST KINCARDINE Submitted by Ryan Lamont
On Monday the Ralph’s Pee Wee A/E team played against The Kincardine Kinucks in Southampton. The Storm relied on goaltender Aaron Cruchley to make some nice saves early in the game.

Late in the first, after a Jake Dawson shot was stopped, Ryan Crosetta was able to score on the rebound with Cal Fraser getting the other helper. The first period ended with the Storm up 1-0. Cruchley was called on to make more great saves early into the second when the Storm got into penalty trouble, including a 5 on 3 power play for the Kinucks. With two minutes to go in the second Romanowich went on an end to end rush, deeked out two Kincardine defenders, and was able to score five hole. Seconds later a nice passing play was started by Charlie Wilkinson to Romanowich to Justin Lamont which allowed Lamont to score on a wrist shot from the point. With a 3-0 lead heading into the third, the Storm let up and let Kincardine back into the game. Early into the period Kincardine cut the lead in half, after the Storm left a Kincardine player wide open in front of the net. The Storm still relied on Cruchley to keep the two goal lead. With five minutes to go in the third Kincardine narrowed the gap to make it a one goal game. The Storm hung on for dear life to win the game 3-2.

The Storm will look to continue their undefeated season on Monday againsted Listowel at 8:15 in Southampton.
