T he Ralph’s Pee Wee A/E played Kincardine on Tuesday night. The Storm came out flat, looking tired, after winning their Strathroy tournament on the weekend.

Kincardine scored their first goal four minutes into the game. In the first period Aaron Cruchley made some glorious saves in order to keep the Storm in the game. Kincardine added to their lead with 23 seconds to go in the first. Kincardine would make it 3-0 two minutes into the second.  The Storm then mounted their comeback when Jake Dawson scored at 8:09 in the second after some nice deeks on an end to end to rush and scored top shelf with Lamont and Romanowich assisting. Minutes later on an end to end rush of his own, Romanowich scored an unassisted goal glove side to narrow the Kincardine lead to 3-2 after two periods of play. The Storm kept pressing in the third and were finally rewarded when Romanowich tied the game 3-3 with his second goal on a pass from Lamont with 48 seconds to go in final frame. Eight seconds later, while Kincardine was wondering what happened to their lead, Romanowich sealed the 4-3 victory for Saugeen Shores and completed his hat trick.

On Saturday, the Ralph’s PeeWee A/E ‘s travelled to Goderich.  The Storm found themselves down again early in the game when Goderich out hustled Saugeen Shores and scored at the 12:34 mark of the first period.  This served as the wake up call the Storm needed as they came back and scored 2 quick goals. The Storm’s first goal came from Troy Contois who took a pass from Jesse Cannon who was behind the net.  The second goal for the Storm was at 11:21 by Taylor Schihl who was fed by Cole Farrish.

The Goderich goalie was able to keep the Sailors in the game until with 2:57 left in the first, Mikyle Romanowich scored on a pass from Ryan Crosetta to make it 3-1 Storm.  In the second period, Stephen Pilar came out from behind the net to put the Storm up 4-1.  Less than a minute later, a Contois shot from the blue line ricocheted off of Pilar to a wide open Jake Dawson in front of the net who made sure to increase the Storm’s lead to 5-1. In the third period with only 1:18 left in the game, Cal Fraser potted the Storm’s 6th goal with Pilar assisting. Dawson scored his second of the game at the 23 second mark with assists to Crosetta and Romanowich to end the game with a 7-1 Storm win. The Ralph’s PeeWee A/E Storm’s next game is Monday in Southampton at 8:15.
