PeeWee A/E Storm ride winning streak Submitted by Ryan Lamont
The Ralph's PeeWee A/E Storm looked to continue their winning ways at home on Saturday against Goderich.
The Storm got on the board early, as Ryan Hopcraft scored on rush only 21 seconds into the game. Goderich pressed hard for the equalizer but Aaron Cruchley made some nice saves to keep the Storm ahead. With 2 minutes to go in the first Mikyle Romanowich scored from in front of the net with Ryan Crosetta getting the helper. Cruchley made some more great saves to preserve the lead for the Storm. In the second period, Ryan Hopcraft scored on a shot from the point with Wyatt LeBlance and Braden Kelly assisting. Minutes later Hopcraft took a pass from LeBlance and went top shelf to complete his hat trick. Crosetta then picked up the puck in the Goderich zone and scored stick side. Early in the third Kelly scored a goal in front of the net with Jesse Cannon getting the helper. Seconds later Kelly assisted on a Cannon goal. Taylor Schihl put in a Crosetta rebound to make it 8-0 Storm victory and preserve the shutout for Cruchley. The team is now preparing for their tournament in Strathroy next weekend.
