The Saugeen Shores CAW Bantam Rep team traveled to Kincardine on November 30, 2008 and came home with a hard earned point as a result of a 3-3 draw.

Both teams came out of the gate flying from the drop of the puck. The game featured end to end rushes, bone crushing hits and strong goaltending by both netminders (Brett McCulloch for the Storm and Trevor Ammerman for the opposition). The first period ended deadlocked in goose-eggs.

The Storm lit the light first with Russ MacMillan finishing off a passing play from Brady Goreski and Tom Godwin at the 5:17 mark of the 2nd. Both teams traded numerous chances and a few cross-bars and posts, however the 1 goal held up as the teams headed to the dressing room for the 2nd intermission.

Just :41 seconds into the 3rd frame, the Storm increased their lead to 2 as Tyler D’Angelo buried a goal along the ice on a nice set-up from Tom Godwin and Brady Goreski. Almost 4 minutes later Jacob Roote tallied the 3rd Storm marker on a pass from Godwin. The home squad continued with a relentless and aggressive forecheck and finally put one past McCulloch for a powerplay goal by Mitch Dickson (assists to Dylan Sayle and Cody Bowes) at the 5:37 mark. A little less than a minute later Mathew Baker wired a slapshot past a screened goal to cut the lead to 1. Riding the momentum of two quick goals, Kincardine capitalized for goal number three to tie the game with 3:50 left on the clock on a goal by Dickson. Both teams gave it their all for the remainder of time on the clock to pull out the win, however at the final buzzer, both teams earned a well deserved point for the tie.

The Storm next see action in the Fergus Tournament the weekend of Dec. 5-7th and then host Goderich at 6:30 pm in Southampton on Dec. 13th.
