Saugeen Shores Bantam C Girls Win in Wingham
On Saturday October 11, 2014, the Saugeen Shores Bantam C Girls travelled to Wingham for their very first away game against the Lucknow C team

Although it was only an exhibition game, this group of young women were ready to play!  It started off with some strong slap shots and wrist shots from the blue line by our very strong defense players!

While we were missing one of our defensemen, the defense lines were shift changing just like the pros.  It was nice to see all the girls talking to one another and communicating plays that they were setting up.

Coach Bruce did a great job of making his instructions nice and clear for the girls, we in the stands were able to understand almost every word!

Our goalie was making some really great poke checks and had her first shutout of the season!  Again, offense and defense were rallying together and making nice clean passes between each other.

With four minutes left in the game, one of our offense players tripped and slid into the boards.   After being escorted off the ice in what looked like considerable pain, the game resumed but the atmosphere was more somber.

The Bantam girls buckled down and finished the game with a win of 4-0.  The fans are super excited and can’t wait to see what the season will bring!

Another great job Ladies!
