Saugeen Shores Bantam C Girls win their first game of the year
On Friday October 10, 2014 the Saugeen Shores Bantam C girls won their first game of the year against the South Bruce Bantam C team with a win of 9-2.

The puck dropped at 7:30 pm. The first five minutes of the game was intense but at the five minute mark, the girls scored their first goal. It didn’t take long for the positive energy to build ending the first period with a score of 4-0.

In the second period the girls rallied again but South Bruce managed to fire off a shot from the side, and the puck slipped past our goalie putting them on the board. Saugeen Shores rallied together and scored another goal. The team work was incredible! The defenders were working hard at getting the puck out of our end and the forwards were peppering the other goalie with many shots on net. The passing was clean and precise.

Great team work between the forwards and the defenders. Our goalie did a great job stopping the puck. By the end of the second Saugeen Shores was up 8-2.

In the third period, we scored one more goal and received our first penalty of the season while protecting the goalie.

What an amazing first game for the girls! With the intensity and positive energy of the team, the fans can’t wait to see what the whole season will bring!

Way to go Girls!
