Storm Peewee LL2 Win Wade Simmons Memorial Tournament
On Sun December 8th, the Rowlands Independent Grocers Storm LL2 Peewee squad took top spot at the Wade Simmons Memorial Tournament, held in Tiverton ON.
The one day, best point total format saw the Storm win their first two games against Goderich and Ripley, then narrowly miss completing the comeback from a 5-1 deficit to lose to the host Tiverton Thunder in the third game by a score of 6-5.
The best point format saw the team better the Kincardine Kinucks and the Tiverton Thunder by a slim 1/4 point to claim the title.

The boys gelled as a team at their first tournament of the year and have continued their strong play this week.

Peewee LL2 would like to thank the tournament organizers for a well run, and fun tournament...and the spaghetti was a nice touch for lunch!

Seen in the photo are Coach James Perry, Andy Barnard, trainer Troy McNabb and Co-Manager Sam Bagyan.  Missing from photo are Mary Ray Young (Co-Manager) and Trainer Linda Bester along with tournament Representative Debbie Simmons and the boys from LL2.
