Storm Peewee LL2 win Wasaga Beach Silver Division
On Sunday, Feb 2nd, the Rowland's Independent Storm Peewee LL2 squad attended the Wasaga Beach Local League one day tournament.
The first game saw the Storm narrowly lose to the Oro #1 team by a margin of 3-2, placing the squad in the silver side of the tournament draw.

Game 2 was a complete turn around, as the boys caught fire, defeating a team from Erin/Hillsburgh by a score of 9-2. Strong play from Connor Chapman in net, Donovan Kewageshig and Jared Cameron offensively, and the entire defensive roster was key to the victory.

The Final game of the Silver side "A" Category featured Storm LL2 facing a team from Shelburne.  After two periods of play, all looked lost for the Saugeen Shores Storm, as strong play from Shelburne led to a 4-0 lead for Shelburne going into the third period.

Not to be overcome by adversity, the third period saw the Storm mount what was to become the greatest comeback in the history of the 2013/14 Storm LL2 season.
Elevated play from Caleb McLaren, C.J. Palmer and Riley Johnson saw the Storm rally with 6 unanswered goals in ten minutes of play, including three short handed goals to give the boys the Silver side "A" Championship victory.  Spectators and event organizers commented on the spectacular unwillingness to quit that was exhibited by the Saugeen Shores squad.

Congratulations to C.J. Palmer who claimed the most valuable player for the Storm, and to all the boys for not giving up and making coaches and parents very proud of the determination and cooperation that led to the Championship Title
