Bantam LL Win WOAA White Division Title !!!
The Scoreboard Sports Too Bantam local league team captured the WOAA White division Championship on Fri 23 Mar 2012.  The Storm swept the best of three series in two straight games.





Game 1 was played at the Plex on Sat 17 Mar 12 with the Storm coming out on top with a 9-3 home ice victory.  The first period of the first ever meeting between these teams saw both teams players and bench staff adjusting to the strengths and weaknesses of each other.  The 1st period ended with the score tied 1-1.  Saugeen Shores would get the upper hand in the 2nd period and would end the 2nd period and head to the intermission with a 4-2 lead.  The Storm took control in the 3rd period, outscoring Blyth-Brussels 5-1 to close the 9-3 victory.  Brady Conley provided the goaltending duties for the Storm.  Goal scorers for the Storm were Brendan Morano with a Hat trick and Eric Parr with a pair. Singles markers went to Terrance Gerrior-Johnson, Dylan Thomas, Brennan Harvie and Jonah Neron.  Assists were provided by Brandon Vokes (2), Cam MacKay (2), Eric Parr (2), Brennan Harvie (2), Austin Morris, Chris Gilbert, Coby Stanley , Dylan Thomas and Jonah Neron.

Game 2 was on the road in Blyth on Fri 23 Mar 12.  This game started where game 1 left off.  The Storm outscored the opposition 4-2 in the 1st period.  The teams traded goals in the 2nd period to head to the dressing room with a 5-3 Storm lead.  Blyth Brussels made it interesting by scoring early in the 3rd period to close to within 1.  Several tense shifts followed before the Storm scored at the midway mark of the period to open up a 2 goal cushion.  The Storm would tally a late goal to put the finishing touch on the 7-4 victory and WOAA White Division Championship.  Richard Besito was between the pipes to backstop the victory for the Storm.  Goal scorers for the Storm were Jake Greig with a pair, and single markers going to Brendan Morano, Eric Parr, Cam MacKay, Chris Gilbert and Jonah Neron.  Helpers were provided by Levi Klie (2), Jonah Neron (2), Brendan Morano and Cam MacKay.

Additional support in the series was provided by Evan Lamont, Michael Bohnert and Tyler Muzzell.  Rory Cameron’s enthusiasm was missed by the Storm as he was not available in the final series.
