A good start to the Season for Bantam AE.

The Bruce County Physio Therapy/Lake Shore Racquetball Club Bantam AE team started their season in Zurich on Friday October 15. The Storm dominated the first periods with goals from Ryan Crosetta, Cameron MacKay and Jesse Cannon with assists from Eric Parr, Ben Walker and Connor Speer.  Zurich came back scoring their first goal in the second period and followed with 3 more goals in the third.  Late in the third period the Storm pulled the net minder Aaron Cruchley and put on an extra attacker. Unfortunately, Zurich scored on the empty net with 13.3 seconds left in the game giving them a final 5-3 win. 

The team's home opener was Sunday, October 17th at the Plex vs. Elma-Logan.  The Storm was on the scoreboard first with a goal from Jake Dawson assisted by Ryan Crosetta and Cole Farrish.  Elma-Logan came back in the first with 2 more goals.  Speer tied it up, assisted by JesseCannon.  Elma-Logan responded with a 3rd goal to come ahead with 7 seconds left in the 1st.  Farrish opened up the scoring in the second to tie it up, assisted by Crosetta and Dawson.  Late in the second Elma-Logan went ahead again but Speer tied it up again unassisted.  The thirdperiod was almost scoreless until a pass from Farrish resulted in a big shot from Cannon that went into the net with 4.4 seconds left of the game.  Congratulations to the team for winning their home opener 5-4.

The Storm’s third game of the season was on Friday, October 22 hosting Howick at the Plex.  Jacob Dawson started off the Storms scoring which was assisted by Cole Farrish.  Ryan Crossetta followed in the second period with Jesse Cannon and Taylor Cameron assisting.  Farrish hit the post on a penalty shot in the second however he assisted Justin Lamont with his goal in the third.  Dawson scored his second goal of the game with assists from Lamont and Farrish.  Final score 4-0 Storm.  Congratulations to goal tender Aaron Cruchley for holding the shut out. 

The Storm’s  next game will be during the St. Mary’s tournament the first weekend in November.
