HOCKEY DAY IN CANADA
Like so many Canadians across our country The ScotiaBank Novices participated in our national past-time by celebrating Hockey Day In Canada by playing hockey.

They travelled up the Bruce Peninsula to play an exhibition game, for the fun of it, in Lions Head. Two major venues were Bill Murdoch's display of his famed Hockey Jersey collection and the OMHA's Top Shot hockey challenge. On the way back to Saugeen Shores some even stopped in Wiarton and enjoyed a family skate. For those wondering, ScotiaBank won their game but winning was not the order of the day. Having fun was. On Thursday 4th Feb at 6:30 in Southampton, ScotiaBank Novices will  host  Shallow Lake. The GC Huston School Band will be on hand for the playing of our National Anthem, a raffle will be held for free registration to Chris Hall's PD Day Hockey Camp on Friday the 5th Feb and a cheering section of all of our major sponsor's employees from the Port Elgin Scotiabank, backed up by our minor sponsors Cathy Fenton of Cathy's Flowers n'Treasurers in Port Elgin and Wendy Kelly of Inside Out in Southampton.
