Storm Kicks Up a Storm in Listowel
Rosner's'/Tibor's Krown Rust Control led the charge against Listowel on Saturday in their 2nd meeting of the season. Determined not to repeat first game's loss, Storm were solid for the full 35 minutes.

Goalie Kenneth Bollen was stellar, denying his opponents until late in the first when Listowel's shot found the net, giving the visitors a 1 goal advantage. Not to be discouraged Storm led the 2nd and just a minute and twenty in, JD Barnard broke through the middle passing to Mac Mac who fired one top left trying the game at 1. The 2nd was full of end to end play by both teams. Defensive team of Dereski/Wilkinson were consistent in feeding the puck up to the offensive lines who capitalized with some great passing plays and continued pressure on Listowel's defence. Defenders Robertson & Olinskie played strong, with Robertson driving the puck quickly and consistently into the offensive zone. Late in the 2nd forward O-Dawg claimed his spot in front of the net firing off a rebound that narrowly missed putting the Storm ahead. After 20 minutes of play score remained tied at 1 with both teams hungry for the win. 5 mins into the 3rd, Listowel's Senek assisted by Cross got one past by Goalie Cameron putting the Cyclones back on top. Storm battled on with the strong offensive line led by Pomroy, Heipel & Akerman. With 6 minutes left, Nolan Dereski saw an opening & carried the puck from end to end, taking a shot on net as well as drawing a Cyclone tripping penalty. Storm was not able to capitalize on the man advantage however Coleton McNabb's line kept the pressure on for the remainder of the 3rd. With 1:33 left Emma Vanhaelmeesch passed from left wing across to Brayden Horseman who drove the puck past Listowel's goaltender tying the game at 2! Listowel pressured the Storm for the remaining seconds of the game, however excellent forechecking and strong defensive play stayed strong until the buzzer with the game ending in a 2-2 tie! Excellent team play and effort by all.  Storm finished the weekend off with their Christmas party.  Thanks to Jangles for a great evening and thanks to everyone who donated gift(s) which we will be given to some special folks c/o of the Women's House.  Happy Holidays everyone.
