STORM faces a Strong Opponent in Ripley
Saugeen Shores Storm AE demanded Ripley's attention in the first period Monday night with the first period resulting in a 1-0 lead for Storm after some serious play.  #4 Coleton McNabb led the Storm with his offensive play the entire 35 minutes, and gave the STORM the lead with an unassisted goal late in the first.  Second period Ripley came out strong, scoring 5 sniper shots despite some great saves by goalies Kenneth Bollen and Cameron Plante.  Defensive teams Dereski/Wilkinson and Robertson/Olinskie had their work cut out for them as Ripley put on the afterburners for the remaining 25 minutes.  Thanks to some great hustle and heads up play by the defense, goalies were protected from additional damage.  Forwards Horseman and Vanhaelemeesch were in the game and worked hard to break through Ripley defense missing some narrow opportunities to close the gap.  Score didn't reflect the end to end action, hard play, sweat and effort put forward at the Coliseum.  Good effort and attitude displayed by the entire team and that team consists of Kenneth, Cameron, Kelly, Coleton, JD, Owen, Emma, Aidan, Colton, Jake, Dylan, Malcolm, Brayden, Nolan and Duncan.  GREAT EFFORT by all.
