Pee Wee L.L. Starts Off On The Right Foot!
On Novemeber 6th Pee Wee L.L. team travelled to Keady to kick off the 09-10 season and kick it off they did with a hard fought 8-6 win!
Thef first period proved to be a building block for the new team.  Not wanting to waste any time the boys went straight to the offensive.  Dan Hilbers scored his first of the night on a great play made by Terrance Johnson at 5:24.  Three minutes later Thomas Forsyth put the Storm up 2-0.  Then with less than a minute left in the first the boys were able to leave the first period with some insurance as Hilbers netted his second of the night on a pass from Forsyth.

The second period proved to be one that both teams can learn from.  TCDMHA came out strong to start the second period.  With two quick goals the opponents were back in the game.
Forsyth and Johnson were quick to reply with Forsyth scoring his second of the night, but again TCDMHA fought hard and tied the game at 4.  On a great effort the boys again took the lead with some hard work from Tyler Muzzel and Johnson....Johnson was able to put his first of the season in.  The second period however still had more to offer with Hilbers scoring the HATTRICK on a beautiful pass from Ben Vecchies.  Not to be silenced the TCDMHA team fought hard and scored to bring their team within one before the buzzer.

After a crazy combined 8 goal second period the boys were able to regroup and put on a solid defensive showing in the third period.  Levi Klie was strong on the blue line keeping the play alive so Evan Lamont could win the hard fought battle in front of the TCDMHA  net minder.  A minute later Michael Bohnert went on an end to end lone rush to net his first of the season.  With the three goal lead restored the boys seemed to be feeling a little more secure.  However TCDMHA wasn't going to give up...with just three minutes left the team netted their sixth of the night.  The defensive pairing of Brennan Harvie and Austin Morris played strong in the final minutes to help the hold off the attackers from TCDMHA.
With a great effort and shared net minding from Richard Besito and first timer Brady Conley the boys were able to pull of their first victory of the season!  Great Effort!
