The Saugeen Shores Bantam A/E Bruce County Physiotherapy/Lakeshore Recreation team played the Blyth Bulldogs on Friday in Southampton. This was a back to back battle right from the drop of the puck
David McGinnis made some big saves early for the Storm. James Besito and Justin Lamont both had great chances to score on end to end rushes, but were unable to put the Storm on the board. Blyth was able to open the scoring mid way through the second period. They would add another goal late in the second to take a 2-0 lead into the final frame. The Storm had many chances to cut the lead in half early in the third, but were stopped by good goaltending. Justin Greig and Cole Farrish did some good puck digging in along the boards in the Blyth end. Farrish then won a puck battle on the boards, and passed the puck to Greig who was able to score on a wrap around. Tanner MacAulay had a great chance to tie the game on an end to end rush, but the Storm were unable to score, and came out on the losing end of a good game by a score of 2-1.
The boys will now prepare for a weekend tournament in St.Marys
