Peewee BB at Collingwood Tournament
Storm come up short in semifinals against Mount Brydges....

Location:  Collingwood

The Saugeen Shores Legion Branch 340 (Port Elgin) Storm Peewee 'A's fell short in the semi-finals at the 33rd Annual Huronia Hockey Tournament in Collingwood on Sunday morning following a 3-1 loss to the Mount Brydges Cougars (whom the Storm had beat by the identical 3-1 score in the preliminaries on Friday).

Stevie Langendoen with an unassisted goal tied the game at 1-1 with about five minutes left in the third period.  However, with overtime on everyone's minds, Mount Brydges scored on a breakaway to take the lead less than two minutes later.  An empty net goal by the Cougars made it 3-1.

In the other semi-final game, Collingwood was upset by Lambeth.

Saturday's results...

On Saturday, the Saugeen Shores Legion Branch 340 (Port Elgin) Storm Peewee 'A's defeated the Dorchester Dragons by a score of 4-1 to advance to Sunday's semi-final.  Dorchester came into the game needing a win or tie to advance and for the Storm, a tie would have eliminated them so it was a win or no hockey on Sunday for the Peewees.

The Peewee BB Storm finished second in their pool and play Mount Brydges on Sunday at 12:30 pm who finished first in the other pool.  The host Collingwood Blackhawks finished first (in the pool that the Storm were in) play Lambeth in the other semi-final who finished in second behind Mount Brydges in the other pool.

In the Dorchester game, the Storm goal scorers were James Besito with two(2) goals and single goals by Ben Van Ooteghem and Jordan VanHaelemeesch.
