Instructions for Hockey Canada's Online Registration System

  1. Click the REGISTER NOW link below to go to the Hockey Canada online registration system.
  2. If you have used the system before, your email address/username is the first section. Hopefully you will remember your password. If not, please click on 'Forgot your Password?' and you will receive further instructions.

  3. For first time users, click on ‘Click Here to Create an Account’ and enter the required information needed to create your Hockey Canada Online registration account.  If you have an account from another association, contact the registrar directly.

  4. Once you have logged in, the system will now bring you to the Registration Area.  Here you can Register a Participant.

  5. Click on the Register a Participant link to begin the registration process.

  6. Enter the Registrants Name, Date of Birth, Language and Gender then click on the Register a Participant link to proceed. The matching participants name and information will appear, click on the ‘Register Now’ button to proceed.

  7. Click on ‘Participant’ and then click the ‘Next’ button.
  8. Click on the Division and then click the ‘Next’ button.

  9. Choose the ‘Registration Package’ your child will be registering for (i.e. General Package for Novice Players or General Package for Novice Goalies).

  10. Enter the Member’s address, mailing (if different), Father’s and Mother’s address.  You will then be brought to the Contact Information section.  You MUST enter a valid Home Phone Number and Email Address for the Member as well as a parent/guardian in order to proceed to the Emergency Contact section. You must use the main contact email for parent/guardian, not the player’s email address. Please note that for some reason, residential addresses do not get updated from year to year in the Hockey Canada registry through this system. If you have a change of address, please send that information to the registrar directly ([email protected]) and it will be forwarded on to the OMHA for a manual update.
  11. Enter the Registrant’s Emergency Contact Name and where it indicates ‘Contact Information’ please provide a phone number at minimum here.
  12. READ and understand both the ‘Waiver Agreement’ and the ’Hockey Canada Waiver’; SSMHA Code of Conduct; and SSMHA Social Networking Policy.   Click on the ‘I agree’ box. (In order for your registration to be complete, you need to agree to all of these.)
  13. Once all of the information is entered, click on the ‘Review’ button.
  14. You may now either register another participant or complete your registration. If you are registering more than one child, please do so all at once or you will incur extra credit card processing fees from Hockey Canada each time you access the system.

  15. When you are finished and click the ‘Check Out’ button, you will be prompted to choose type of credit card or to mail in a cheque. It is at the end of the check out process that you can choose to make the full payment or staggered payments. The required initial fee for all divisions is $200. If paying by credit card, the remaining payments will automatically be divided equally and occur on July 1, Aug 1 and Sept 1.

  16. Once complete, you can either ‘Print Receipt’ or ‘Email Receipt’.  Unfortunately, there is no longer a 'child fitness tax credit' for income tax. Please retain for your records.
