Gord’s Imprints and Design Bantam LL1 are heading to Maroon Division Finals
Submitted By Stephen Ballard on Mon 03 11, 19
(Submitted By Richard Leaver) Saugeen Shores Bantam LL1, sponsored by Gord’s Imprints and Design, are heading to the WOAA Maroon Division Final.  After completing the Regular Season in first place and again as Maroon North Division winners, the Team is very excited about this Final Playoff Championship Series.

During the Regular season the Storm Bantam LL1, sponsored by Gord’s Imprints and Design, earned first place in the WOAA Bantam North Division. This was quite the feat considering they were up against some very worthy opponents in a division that consisted of 13 teams.  After 20 regular season games their record of 16-2-2 worked out to 34 points out of a possible 40. This record showed to be good enough to earn the top spot with a very good Shallow Lake team right on their heels with only 2 point behind them.

In playoffs, the North Division was split, and the Storm found themselves among the top 6 teams in the WOAA Maroon North Division round robin. Knowing what they had learned in the regular season, they were determined to compete hard in every game knowing that they had to defend the first place title from the regular season. The playoff run got off to a great start with an 8-0 record before the team fell to Shallow Lake in a 1-0 match that was full of excitement. Coming down the tenth and final game in the playoff round, they had to compete hard in their last game to earn the win. The players went to work, and the game was decided in a shutout win to guarantee them first place in the North Division to move onto the final.  A pretty amazing playoff performance with a 9-1-0 record and achieving 18 out of a possible 20 points. The team is very excited about their success thus far but the Coaching Staff has reminded them there is still work to do. Thank you to all the fans that have been cheering for us all season thus far. You guys really help motivate us more than you would know.  It really means a great deal and please come on out to cheer us on in the finals.

GO STORM GO !!!!
