C1 Course
Submitted By Stephen Ballard on Thursday, February 28, 2019
Anyone who wants to coach NOVICE and below will now need C1 - no exceptions. "Coach 1 – Intro to Coach" will be the only accepted qualification at Novice and below, in keeping with the Hockey Canada framework for programming in these Divisions.

The ‘Tyke’ Division (7-year-old) will now be known as ‘Minor Novice’. This aligns the naming of this division with the rest of Hockey Canada. The good news is that our Head of Development, John Rich, has organized a C1 course for March 23 at the Plex.Sign up for "Coach 1 – Intro to Coach"...

It is an 8 hour in-person, in-class and on-ice course.Important: In order to register for the C1 course, you must have completed the "HU - Online Coach 1/Coach 2" program. This is prerequisite to the in-person course to ensure that all participants have some background. It takes about 4 hours and the cost is $27+tx, again reimbursed afterward by SSMHA. Please sign up ASAP as demand for this course is high, and registrations are not restricted to Saugeen Shores participants. Places are being taken quickly.
