Saugeen Storm Bantam LL#1
Submitted By Stephen Ballard on Monday, November 26, 2018
The Saugeen Storm Bantam LL#1 sponsored by, Gord's Imprints & Design, battled it out down in Mooretown, Ontario, competing in the Rise Up Cup Tournament. Winning their pool after round-robin play and then winning the quarter final and semi final games, earned them a spot in the championship. Despite being down 3-0 after the first period of Championship play, they climbed back into the game. They scored twice with under a minute of regulation play, having their goalie pulled for the extra attacker to tie the game up at 4-4 and send it to overtime. No scoring in overtime led to a shootout decision which did not go in the Storms favour. However, the players left it all out on the ice in a fantastic tournament weekend.
