CAITLYN COBEAN MEMORIAL GIRLS’ INTERNATIONAL SILVER STICK FINALS FEB. 3-5, 2017
To All SSMHA Families, Friends, Business & Organizations: SSMHA is hosting its annual Caitlyn Cobean/Girls Silver Stick finals in February.
Caitlyn was an avid hockey player for our organization, along with her brother and sister. She died at the age of 15 following a battle with cancer. This year’s tournament is hosting 40 teams from all over Ontario. In order to keep this tournament a success, and to attract teams to our community, donations play a key role. Each year we have a raffle table and prizes to raise money to offset the cost of some of the expenses to run such tournaments. As a local business owner myself, I know and understand the importance of these donations in a small community. I am asking if your business/organization would like to contribute a donation for the raffle table, prizes, coupons/advertisements for teams, or sponsor our all-girls skills competition, pucks, etc… I am also looking for anyone willing to volunteer their time at one of our 4 arenas we are using to help run the clock, score sheet, or welcome teams to their games (Hint – great for student volunteer hours).
