Master Plan Launch
Submitted By Stephen Ballard on Friday, June 3, 2016
Recreation facilities and programs are vital to our community and the quality of life in Saugeen Shores.

From facilities such as Centennial Pool and the Plex, to sports fields, playgrounds and parks, recreation is an important part of life for residents. To ensure that the Town continues to provide high quality recreational opportunities, a Recreation Master Plan is being prepared to guide the development of facilities and recreation opportunities over the next fifteen years. This process will provide Saugeen Shores with up-to date research on community best practices, insight into current and future needs, as well as effective tools to deliver services, programs, and more. How you can be involved:

 1.       Join us for the Master Plan Launch Event Monday, June 6 at the Plex. Doors open at 6:30 pm, presentations begin at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Additional information and the community survey link are included on the attached poster. Please share and post.
2.       Complete, Share and Promote the Online Community Survey This survey aims to establish a broad picture of current participation in and preferences for recreational activities, as well as current and future needs. It is open to all residents of Saugeen Shores. You are invited and encouraged to complete the survey and share with your participants, networks and through your social media channels. www.surveymonkey.com/r/SSRECPLAN The survey is active until June 30, 2016.This process will provide Saugeen Shores with up-to date research on community best practices, insight into current and future needs, as well as effective tools to deliver services, programs, and more.
