The Rising Costs of Renting Ice
Each year, the rising costs of renting ice in Saugeen Shores is having a direct impact on the cost of registration for each player in the association. This year, Saugeen Shores Council has voted to raise the cost of ice by 2%.
Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey, along with the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks, will be making presentations to town council regarding ice costs. The meeting will be taking place on Monday January 11th at 7:30pm in the Council Chambers which is located in the arena building in Port Elgin.
It is very important that parents let Council know that we are concerned about the rising cost of ice rental. Please plan on attending the meeting or contact a member of council with your concerns.
