Boston Pizza Skills Competition and Alumni Game
On Saturday November 21st, during the Chris Knott Tournament, there will be a skills competition and alumni game at the Plex.
The skills competition begins at 5:30pm and will involve players from teams competing in the Chris Knott Tournament. Last year's skills included a puck control relay, hardest shot and a shootout. Kevin Knott, Chris's brother, and Lionel (Boston Pizza mascot) will be there to hand out awards to the winners in each division.
Following the competition, the BP Alumni game will begin at 8pm. The game is between Chris’s former teammates from Port Elgin minor hockey vs. Kincardine Bulldogs alumni. Also playing for SSMHA will be Kevin Knott & Darryl McKinnon. Boston Pizza will be providing the bar upstairs from 5:30-11:00. Admission to the alumni game is by donation to the Chris Knott scholarship, which is awarded each year to a deserving student who is involved in athletics at SDSS. The raffle & 50/50 tables will be up all day Saturday, with the 50/50 draw being made after the 2nd period during the alumni game.
All members of our minor hockey family are encouraged to come out and support the Chris Knott tournament and its participants. It would be great to see our players wearing their jerseys and supporting our teams and the Chris Knott family.
