Successful Pre Season Skate
Submitted By Christine Flarity on Monday, September 7, 2015
Last week, Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey introduced a pre season skate, open to all players Novice age and above.  It gave players a chance to get on the ice before tryouts to try out new equipment, get their legs working and to start thinking about hockey.

The first three skates were all about power skating.  Lindsey Dwinell brought a disciplined, structured approach to the ice times, and the players benefitted from her knowledge and expertise.

The final two skates were about skills and drills.  Josh Jackson, Brandon Stauffer, Andrew Dickson, Kevin Czuczman, Jeff Scott and George Condy instructed the skaters in various drills in preparation for the upcoming season.

A thank you to our student volunteers for the week...Lauren MacDonald, Janelle Fowler, Paul Leger, Caleb McLaren, Dex Wasylishyn, Charlie Wilkinson and Brady Moulton.

SSMHA would also like to thank Boston Pizza for supporting this event.  They donated free meal coupons and provided free pizza in the dressing rooms.
