Summer Storm
It is the middle of summer ... but many things are happening.

1)  Registration:  Many of you have been asking about registration.  No, it is definitely not too late to register.  The easiest way to register is to follow the information on the Registration menu on the top LEFT of the home page (I'm not yelling - it's just that the menu item used to be at the top right, but people with devices that couldn't display the screen resolution couldn't see the right side of the web page, and couldn't find the registration information - sorry for any frustration that caused).

2)  Tryouts:  The executive is currently finalizing ice times and schedules.  As soon as we have completed the schedule, you will be notified via email.  As well, like this, an article will be posted on the web page.  Which brings us neatly to the next item ...

3)  Equipment Exchange:  Yes, the SSMHA will be organizing another equipment exchange this year.  It is a great way to get rid of old equipment that you can't 'hand down' any further in your family; as well as helping to outfit your child for the upcoming season without having to go to the store for every item.  Like the tryouts, as soon as details have been finalized, you will be notified.

4)  Webmail/Twitter:  We do try to notify parents of all upcoming events and other important information.  As you can see, we always post an article to the SSMHA website.  But that requires people to be constantly checking the site.  That is why we always duplicate announcements with a mass email.  Those parents new to the association will not be on our list until registration is complete.  If you want to start receiving emails right away, then send a quick email to me at:  [email protected] and I'll add you to the list.  You can also subscribe to our Twitter feed and receive constant updates.

Have a great rest of the summer.
