U15B Girls Storm win the Kitchener Fallfest Tournament
The SSMHA would like to congratulate all our teams that competed in tournaments this weekend; many making it to the finals and bringing home some hardware!

The Lion’s Club U15B Girls Storm had a successful weekend in winning the Kitchener Fallfest Tournament, with an impressive 6-0 record.

After some strong play on Friday, winning games over TCDGHA and Grand River by the scores of 7-1 and 7-0, they finished out the round robin with tight wins of 3-1 over Sault Ste. Marie and 1-0 over Kitchener to claim the #1 seed in the playoff round.  In the semi final game the team faced the Lambton Attack and scored 2 Power Play goals to win the game 2-1.  They then played a very strong Collingwood team in the final and came away with a hard fought 3-2 win.  The last 4 games were all tied at some point in the 3rd period, but the girls’ teamwork, determination, and impressive compete level saw them find a way to win each game, and ultimately be crowned very deserving champions.

If you would like to celebrate your team’s accomplishments with a public shoutout in the future, please email [email protected] with details or be sure to continue to tag @ssmhahockey in posts and stories.

WELL DONE STORM!!!
