Referee School
This is the last call for any who are
interested in refereeing in the 2024
upcoming season as a new official.
The referee school presently has 69 registered for the school in Clinton
on
Saturday/Sunday October 19th-20th 2024.
This will be a two day event starting at 8am both days and finishing around
5 pm.
Six hours ice have been booked for the group so that each official will
receive a minimum of 2 hours ice, one hour each day.
The price mentioned included their lunch for both days along with snacks and
drinks.
The recertification program will take place for all officials who are
presently in the program that meaning those who were new this past year will
attend that program.
Presently those dates are looking to be Clinton 28Sept24 at the St.Annes
Catholic School 353
Ontario Street in Clinton N0M1L0 and
Walkerton 05October24 at Walkerton District Community School 1320
Yonge
Street
South in Walkerton NOG2VO
Both of these recertification programs will have the doors open at 12Noon
and classes will begin at 1pm and be finished at 4 pm.
The recertification programs are mandatory for all officials who are
returning to referee for the upcoming 2024-2025 season
The school is for new officials just starting the program or those who have
been out to long and have to start over again
If you have someone for the school they have two weeks left to get
registered before the on line modules will be sent out for that portion to
be completed plus the information needed for those to obtain police checks
who will be 18 years old by the clinic date.
Police Checks for those who want to attend the recertification clinics.
If
you are 18 years of age before the clinic dates you must obtain a VSC police
check through your local police department of OPP office. If you have
been
in three years then you need to update your police check. When you have
obtained the police check please send it to the OHF.
