Season Pause
Hello SSMHA families,

As I’m sure you’re already aware, the province is moving back to a version of “Phase Two” in the reopening plan. This includes closing indoor sports facilities, which will put our minor hockey program on hold. This pause begins Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 at 12:01am, and runs until at least January 27th, 2022.

As disappointing as this is, we will pause our programming for the time being and be ready to hit the ice as soon as Public Health deems it safe to do so. We are hopeful that this break is short-lived, and that we can have our children return safely to school (and hockey) as soon as possible.

Please do your best to follow the rules and regulations so that we can see the other side of this quickly and get back to the rink to keep this season going. Please continue to support our local businesses and sponsors during another devastating start to the year.

We are prepared to issue partial refunds again this season if this continues for any length of time, although we are hopeful that the season will instead be extended by OMHA and OWHA to make up for lost time.

Thank you for your understanding during this frustrating and difficult time. As always, please feel free to reach out to me or any of the executive members if you have questions or concerns.

Yours in hockey,

Mary Campbell
