Double Vaccine Information
Submitted By Stephen Ballard on Wed 09 22, 21
Further to the town's policy (below), anyone registered as a player/coach/volunteer under OMHA must provide proof of vaccine status to the SSMHA by Oct 31. Until that date, all registered SSMHA players, coaches and volunteers may enter the facilities to participate in their ice time without showing proof of vaccination. Details on how to submit proof will be provided.
Thank you,
SSMHA Executive

(Town of Saugeen Shores Statement) As you know, Ontario’s Proof of Vaccination Policy came into effect Wednesday, September 22, meaning people 12 and older will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and proof of identification to access some indoor Town programs and facilities. Exemptions will be made as permitted by the provincial government’s regulations. Medical exemptions from a doctor must include the reason for the exemption and any time limits associated with it. The province is working to roll out a digital vaccine certificate and exception platform. Until then, when entering an arena, recreation centre, community hall or swimming pool, a person must have an electronic or paper copy of their vaccination receipt confirming receipt of two doses at least 14 days prior, and a piece of valid identification, such as:

Driver’s licence
Health Card
Passport
Birth Certificate

You can download your vaccine receipt online at covid19.ontariohealth.ca. Vaccination receipts can be printed at all Bruce County libraries at no charge. The Town will not keep vaccination records, so you must show proof of vaccination each time you visit a facility for activities. Ontario’s proof of vaccine policy is new for everyone. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the Town of Saugeen Shores is working hard to help ensure that residents can access local programs while staying safe. Please treat our staff members who are implementing the vaccine policy with courtesy, kindness and respect. Thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times. The Town of Saugeen Shores
