Attention Bantam and Midget Players

Find below the information for the 2 body checking clinics SSMHA is offering this year. Both sessions will take place in Kincardine. The cost will be $60 per player. Please contact John Rich [email protected] for more information, and for registration.




Body Checking Clinic Session #1 August 10- 4 pm- 6 pm, and August 11- 4 pm- 6 pm.

The trainer for these dates will be.Dylan Smoskowitz. Dylan played his junior hockey in the GTHL before being drafted by the Barrie Colts in the 2009 OHL draft. Dylan played for the Barrie Colts, Oshawa Generals and the Mississauga Steelheads in the OHL. In his last season in the OHL Dylan scored 35 goals and was named one of the team captains. After his OHL career, Smoskowitz signed with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL. He attended the Calgary Flames training camp in 2014 and played for York University in 2015. Dylan is currently the head coach of the very successful Toronto Red Wings in the GTHL. He is one of the most sought-after trainers in all of Ontario, due to his vast knowledge of the game and what it takes to take players to the next level. 

Body checking clinic Session #2 August 17- 4 pm- 6 pm  and August 18- 4 pm- 6 pm.

The second trainer this year will be Zach Tranmer. Zach played at both the Jr. B and Jr A levels and has served as an assistant coach for the Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Midget AAA team, and as the video coach for the Sarnia Sting. Zach has been teaching individual skills on a full-time basis for over 13-years,  and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the game of hockey and skill development.
