Storm U18 Rep 4-1 Victory at Hanover Falcons
The Saugeen Shores Storm U18 Rep collected a 4-1 victory over the Hanover Falcons on Thursday night at the Hanover P & H Centre.

Adam Perry began the scoring in the opening minute of the contest when he corralled a loose puck in the crease and buried it home. Caleb Eagan and Wesley Kozelenko picked up helpers on the goal

The lead was doubled in the second period when Eagan sniped a rocket from the high slot beating the Falcons goaltender to the high blocker side. Late in the second period, Britain Marshall turned on the jets, eluded a defender at the blue line, and backhanded a short side shot past the goaltender. Jake Lawrence and Nicolas Embro set up the goal which increased the lead to 3-0.

Heading to the 3rd period the Storm were riding high on confidence. After a Hanover powerplay goal early in the final frame to make it 3-1, it was Kozelenko restoring the lead as he banked the puck off the Falcons goaltender from below the goal line with Cameron Cumming picking up the lone assist.

It was the line of William Nason, Jack Van Geel, and Austin Dunlop who played a key role in shutting down the Hanover attack by getting pucks deep into the Hanover zone, cycling the puck, and wearing down the Falcons defense.

It was the lockdown defense of Wyatt McNabb, Quinn Fowler, Devin Drury, Evan Berry, and Cameron Cumming that held the Hanover offense in check throughout the matchup. Jacque Lariviere turned in a great performance between the pipes stopping 27 of 28 shots he faced for a .964 save percentage.

The Storm will faceoff with the Minto Mad Dogs on Wednesday night at 7:30 at The Plex, Port Elgin.
