U18 Girls C, Womens Hockey (OWHA), 2021-2022, WH (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

The Saugeen Shores U18 C Girls Storm played host to the Central Perth Predators in Southampton and lost a hard fought game by a score of 8 - 3.  The game was much closer than the scoreboard showed. Scoring for the Storm were Riley from Kaylie, Brooke from Kaylie and Sophia from Aamina.  Special mention goes to Olivia who started her first game in net and played an outstanding game with a number of great glove saves.  Well done Olivia.  And the coveted white hard hat for the hardest worker went to Brooke tonight, great job! The U18 C Girls Storm skated to their first win of the season by a score of 5 - 3 over the Kincardine Kinucks at home in Southampton in Exhibition play. Providing the offence for the Storm were Sophia with 4 goals, Brooke with a goal and 3 assists, Kaylie with 3 assists and Andie with an assist. Meghan had another stellar game in between the pipes and Kaylie picked up the coveted white hard hat for the hardest worker of the night. The entire team played great to earn their first win of the season. Go Storm Go!

The Saugeen Shores U18 Girls C Storm opened their season on the road in Tiverton against the Kincardine Kinucks and skated away with a hard fought 2 - 2 tie. Andie opened the scoring on a slap shot from the point in the first period and Kaylie scored the Storm’s second goal in the second period after a nice move to break free from the defence, assisted by Madison. Meghan played great in net and Sophia earned the White Hard Hat for the hardest worker of the night, as selected by her teammates.  Great game girls, well done, a great effort, and a great start to the season.  Go Storm ...
