Storm in Normanby
The Bantam girls continued to build on a solid start to their season today with a strong display against West Grey at Normanby.
The home team came out fast in the first period and it took focus and determination from our defence and goalie to keep the puck out of our net. Half way through the first period Storm found the net. Twenty two seconds later it was 2-0 to the Storm.
The Storm had found their rhythm and were driving forward at every opportunity. Only good goaltending from West Grey kept the score at 2-0 at the end of the first period.
Period two saw Storm add another to make it 3
West Grey kept battling but our Storm girls defended solidly and added three more goals in the third period making the final score 6-0.
Strong defensive play, a very focused goalie and a spread of 14 points in a six goal thriller made for a decent afternoons hockey.
Next up is Lucknow on Tuesday night.
