Storm Passes Through Owen Sound
The
Saugeen Shores Bantam B Girls brushed aside a spirited Owen Sound Ice Hawks team
in Owen Sound today winning by a score of 6-0.
The girls dominated play in all three periods and were 2 goals up after the first. 3 more very nice goals were added in the second with the third period seeing the team adding 1 more goal and then being content to contain the game.
The defence looked comfortable and Marley was alert stopping any Owen Sound breakaways to keep another clean sheet. Solid and no-nonsense defending with good passing play coming forward made for a good day at the arena.
Our parent Rep was up to his task right after the game but apparently it was all good and understood later to have been something caused by a strong gust of wind blowing someone’s hat off. It was however great to see a timely and an effective response from our ever vigilant and safety conscious parent representative. Just another display of great teamwork.
Next up is Owen Sound again who will be travelling down Highway 21 to play the Storm in Southampton on Thursday evening at 7:30pm.
