Another Win for the Saugeen Shores Novice B Storm
The Saugeen Shores Novice B Storm faced the Listowel Cyclones on Sunday, November 2nd, at the Plex, in their second match-up of the season.

Dustin Heipel started off the scoring, with a great deke to put the Storm in the lead within the first two minutes of play.  Minutes later, in a mad scramble in front of Listowel’s  goaltender, Will Nason makes a nice backhand goal for the Storm.  With under two minutes of play remaining in the period and with the Storm players scrambling on the ice, the Cyclones were able to make one stick, bringing the score to 2-1 at the end of the first period.

Throughout the majority of the second period, the Storm was able to maintain possession and control the play.  Will Nason was able to sink two more goals during the period, with assists from Liam Doherty, Luke Thornley, and Chad Lawrence.  Some awesome passes by Malachi McKinnon and Emmett Jackson, and great rushes by Jason Legge and Sean Moorehead, kept the play exciting and fast paced.

Play during the third saw Jason Legge make several breakaways, but the Cyclones’ goalie managed to keep Legge’s bullet-like shots out of the net.  Some strong defensive plays by Dustin Heipel helped take away any scoring chances for the Cyclones and to keep the play focues in Listowel’s end.  With nine minutes left in the third, Chad Lawrence was able to bring the score to 5-1 for the Storm.  After being robbed repeatedly by Listowel’s net-minder, Jason Legge fired a beauty shot on a breakaway, making the final score 6-1 for the Storm.
