Allan's Fireside Atom AE Defeats Goderich Sailors
After a tough loss yesterday against Mitchell, Storm bounced back to capture their first win of the season over Goderich Sailors.
It was an exciting first period and both teams were fighting hard, but period one ended with neither team scoring a goal.
Period 2 was full of action with many chances by both teams but the Storms tough defense and great goaltending by Jack shut the door on Goderich.
With only 1:48 left in the second period Joseph assisted by Francesca and Kennedy put one in the net to put Storm on the board and then a minute later Jake assisted by Wes scored another one to put Storm up 2-0 on Goderich.
Coming into period 3 Storm was looking good up two goals, but despite the hard efforts by all players Goderich managed to put one in the net to make the score 2-1.
Storm fought back hard with Goderich pulling their goalie in the end of the third but they couldn't get past our strong line up who were working hard to keep them out.
What a great game....Way to go STORM!
