Home Game Fri. Nov. 2nd 2012 vs. West Grey #1
The first time meeting the West - Grey #1 team was a close and exciting game!  

Minutes into the first period, West Grey scores off of a rebound.  From the center line, with great defense,  Storm is able to keep the puck in the opposer's end and Erik Johnson (8) takes a pass from CJ Palmer (11) tying the game.  Our starting Goaltender, Josh Briggs (5) saves a goal right on the line and not a second to lose from West Grey, pops it in.  2-1 West Grey.  A clean hard fought first period for all.
The first penalty from West Grey does not give way to scoring opportunity for Storm.  Mahem in front of our night, lets another goal in.  3-1 West Grey.  Storm's defense Zac Vanhaelmeesch (15) and Tyler Bamford (20) keep the pressure making beauty passes up the boards to their forwards.  Several great chances, but couldn't squeak any in.  Another penalty for West Grey and Storm pours it on.  A win off of the face off from Jared Meyer (9), to defenseman Curtis Bender (4) who sees his Winger open Jared Cameron (12), passes and Storm scores!  3-2.  With the heat on, Preston Ritchie (6) is Storm's driving force and keeps the game alive with great back checking from Curtis Bender and Nathan Vanmyall (7).  A penalty free period for the Storm ending the period at 3-2 for West Grey.
10 seconds into the 3rd, West Grey get a breakaway and make the score board again.  4-2.
Jared Meyer (9) and Jared Cameron (12) have a great hustle but were stopped short.  West Grey puts it in Storm's end.  A 3 on 1 on Tyler Bamford (20) rushing into his end, with skilled back checking saves another breakaway on our Goalie.  Nathan Vanmyall (7) with great moves in the corners kept control and battled the puck out of our end.  
Another penalty against West Grey, pressure on to close the count, but could not get by the opposition defense.  A great save on Storm's Goaltender with another breakaway from West Grey leaves the score 4-2 in the last unassisted with 3 minutes remaining.  Storm receives their first penalty with 0 seconds on the board.
Storm kept the pressure on but ended the game with a valiant loss to West Grey 4-3.
