Port Elgin Home Hardware/Dunlop Fuels Win in Exhibition Play
On Tuesday, the Port Elgin Home Hardware/Dunlop Fuels Novice Rep team travelled to Lion’s Head to play the Bruce Pennisula Wild in their first matchup of the exhibition season.

The Storm came out strong from the opening faceoff and won the game 7-1.

Scoring for the Storm was Nick Scott with 2 goals and Hale Schoneck with 2.  Single tallies came from Jacob Condy, Donovan Kewageshig and Kaya Hall.

Assisting on the goals for the boys were Dane Heipel, Carter O’Leary, Austin Hagen (2), Jacob Condy, Nic Lalonde and Reed Stauffer (2).

Solid checking from Ethan Greig and Sam Flarity helped the boys keep the game in the offensive end.

Jarrett Blue was strong between the pipes for the Storm, making some key saves in the third period including a spectacular glove save on a breakaway from the Wild.

Next up for the Storm is a re-match with the Wild on Monday in Southampton.
