Novice LL # 3, 2009-2010 (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

Willy's Contracting Novice LL#3 fought hard in the final round of playoffs against AE Ice Dogs #2 coming up just short of the championship. 

The Saugeen Shores Novice LL#3 Storm playing their first tournament of the year returned home with some hardware winning the Consolation title in Durham on Feb 6th.  The Team opened the day bright and early with a game against Wingham #2.  The play was evenly matched throughout most of the game with lots of offensive and defensive action until Wingham managed to squeeze in a goal mid-way through the 3rd period.  The Storm continued to rally back and forth, but was unable to get it back.  Final score – Wingham - 1, Saugeen Shores – 0 sending the Storm to the consolation side

Novice LL#3 played Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs LL#2 on Dec 17th on Home ice in Southampton. Arran Elderslie got off to an early start with 3 goals in the first period followed by another early one in the 2nd to take the lead 4 to 0. Storm's Josh Neron fired back with 2 goals to shorten the gap in the 2nd with an assist by Eve Martin to bring it to 4-2. A/E then broadened the gap again early in the 3rd for a 5-2 lead. Novice LL#3 played a strong game against Bruce Peninsula in Southampton on November 16th. Josh Neron scored early on in the 1st period. The period continued with 3 more from Neron with 2 assists by Carter O'Leary. Strong defensive play by Eve Martin and Zach Campbell helped keep their opponents at bay as well as some hard work by Jared Cameron-Nashkewa, Brendan Crombeen and Desmen Owl. Toby Wilkinson made some excellent saves and showed his strength between the pipes.
