Novice Storm LL#3 Come Through Again!
Novice LL#3 played a strong game against Bruce Peninsula in Southampton on November 16th. Josh Neron scored early on in the 1st period. The period continued with 3 more from Neron with 2 assists by Carter O'Leary. Strong defensive play by Eve Martin and Zach Campbell helped keep their opponents at bay as well as some hard work by Jared Cameron-Nashkewa, Brendan Crombeen and Desmen Owl. Toby Wilkinson made some excellent saves and showed his strength between the pipes. Strong offensive play by Skylar Soini, Theo Wilkinson, Logan Lemcke, and Josh Campbell kept the play at the opponent's end so there was little chance that Bruce Peninsula could get the best of the Storm during the 2nd period. Part way into the 3rd period, Dane Heipel came alive and dumped 2 unassisted goals into the net within 50 seconds of each other to bring the Storm's score to 6. Bruce Peninsula answered back with a goal half way into the 3rd, but the Storm's lead was too great for them to catch up. Good game by all.
