Midget Girls Rally in Ripley
Down 1-0 after a fluke goal found the back of the Storm net in the first period, the Queen's Bar and Grill/Giant Tiger Midget Lady Storm rallied in the third period in a hard-fought contest with the Ripley Wolves. Danielle Bennett created several chances for herself in a stellar offensive and defensive game. At the 8:06 mark in the third, she put a bullet past goaltender Sydney Quinn. Seven minutes later, Bennett took a slick pass from Maddie Wilkinson and fooled Quinn once again. This minor midget Storm squad, comprised completely of 15-year-olds, then showed impressive composure and locked down the Ripley offence until the final buzzer. Quick changes, sustained intensity and a strong forecheck led to the 2-point game.

ON November 8th, the Midget girls lost a close contest to Normanby 1-0. Opportunities to tie the game continued to the final buzzer, but in the end, the ladies from Ayton prevailed. Points will be hard to come by in this week's matches against Kincardine and Goderich, but the girls are hoping for a better result than on their first meeting with these two clubs.

In Silver Stick, the Midget girls will AGAIN face off against Kincardine C and Goderich C. Their third game will be against the ladies from Upper Maitland.

Good luck girls.
