Respect in Sport (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

PrintRespect in Sport

The Respect in Sport Program, initiated by Hockey Canada beginning in the 2014-2015 season, mandates that one parent per family must participate in the on-line certification program.

The program encourages positive sports behaviors and empowers parents to ensure their child's safety, encourage positive communication and creates a standard of respectful behavior that is expected by all parents.

Using the following link, Respect in Sport, to access the OMHA website.  At the bottom, click on the tab 'Respect in Sport/Parent Program'.  You will find information on the program, in PDF format, on the bottom right of the website page.  You will also find the login information in the same location.

Register as a new user, enter a username and password, and complete the payment information.  The cost of the program is $12, which is paid to the OMHA.

The program is approximately one hour in length and is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer.

Once the program is complete, please print out your certification.  The OMHA will notify Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey of your completed certification.

Thank you!
