What do
Bill Haley, Gloria Gaynor, The Rolling Stones and the SSMHA have in common?
They all know the ‘B’ side is better. All of you are familiar with Bill Haley and His Comets great hit, “Thirteen Women (and Only One Man in Town)”. No? What about the back, or ‘B’ side of that record? – “Rock Around the Clock”? The same with Gloria Gaynor and “Substitute” – the B side might sound a little more familiar, “I will Survive”. Even the Stones had success on the ‘B’ side. You’ve heard of “Honkey Tonk Women” for sure – but the B side was “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”.
Well, now we DID get what we wanted ... The SSMHA has joined those ranks by becoming a ‘B’ Center instead of a ‘BB’. That is better for our children and parents. ‘B’ centers are more common in this area and that means we will not have to range so far afield to play the competition. It opens up more tournament and Silver Stick competitions closer to home. This should help cut down on expenses for gas, food and hotel for our Rep teams while allowing us to play competitors closer to our skill range.
