SSMHA OMHA U11 LL3 Team brings home SILVER!
Our U11 LL3 boys proudly entered the Select Division at the Aurora March Madness Tournament this past weekend, and what an incredible showing they had, bringing home silver medals after an exciting run to the championship game.

The tournament kicked off with a strong statement win as Storm faced off against IMHA Select, earning a decisive 7–2 victory. The boys came out flying, showing great teamwork and offensive pressure right from puck drop.

Game two saw Storm take on the Metcalfe Jets in a tough, physical matchup. Despite a hard fought effort, Storm fell 5–2, learning valuable lessons that would prove important later in the tournament.

In their third round robin game, Storm met the Timmins North Stars in an evenly matched battle. Both teams traded chances in a thrilling contest that ended in a 3–3 tie, securing Storm a spot in the semifinals as the 4th seed.

The semifinals set up an exciting rematch against the top seeded, undefeated Metcalfe Jets. Determined and focused, Storm delivered one of their strongest performances of the weekend. In a nail biting game, the boys scored the game winning goal with just one minute left in the third period, earning a huge 2–1 victory and punching their ticket to the finals.

The championship game brought Storm up against the Oshawa Hawks. It was a tightly contested battle from start to finish, with both teams giving it their all. Storm played with heart and grit but ultimately fell just short in a 2–1 loss, securing a well earned silver medal finish.

We are so incredibly proud of this group of boys for their resilience, teamwork, and determination throughout the weekend. From big wins to tough losses, these boys showed what Storm hockey is all about.

Congratulations on an outstanding tournament performance! 🥈🏒
