Lake Simcoe Cup Champions
Our U11 LL#3 had an amazing weekend at the Lake Simcoe Cup in Innisfil. The team went into the championship game this afternoon being undefeated in their 4 games. Saugeen Shores Storm vs Highland Storm. Highland Storm scored the first goal in the first period. SS STORM fought hard, skated hard and worked as a team to tie the game going into the 2nd period. We were able to take the lead! With just over 3 minutes left in the 3rd period Highland Storm tied the game 2-2. With that the game went into OT. SS STORM we’re excited, and nervous going into 3 on 3 in OT. With a strong sense of team, and hard work we were able to defeat the Highland Storm WINNING THE GOLD, CLAIMING THE CHAMPIONSHIP!
