On behalf of the U13 Tier 1 coaching staff, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our players, parents, referees, the SSMHA executive, and our sponsor (The Port Elgin Legion) for their dedication and support throughout this season. Your collective efforts made this year a resounding success. To our players, thank you for your passion and hard work. As you embark on tryouts for new teams, we wish you the very best of luck. On Friday, December 13, 2024, members of the U13 Tier 1 team, sponsored by the Port Elgin Legion, volunteered their time supporting the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Bell Campaign. Players spent Friday evening greeting customers and manning the Salvation Army Kettle at Port Elgin Walmart. The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign is one of Canada’s largest and most recognizable annual charitable events. The Saugeen Shore Storm U13 Tier 1 team capped off an impressive weekend by capturing  another gold medal, this time at the Guelph PowerPlay Hockey Tournament. The team solidified their dominance on the ice with a commanding 7-1 victory over the Guelph Gryphons in the championship game on Sunday evening.  

The Saugeen Shores Storm U13 Tier 1 team, sponsored by the Port Elgin Legion Branch 340, had a great tournament weekend at the Shallow Lake Lakers Classic, showcasing a lot of heart and skill to come out on top.

Thank you to all of the players who played in Sunday’s exhibition game against Kincardine. Selecting the final roster was not  easy - each and every player demonstrated exceptional skills, effort, and hockey IQ.
