OWHA U13 B, Womens Hockey (OWHA) (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

A big thanks to all the girls who showed interest in trying out for the U13B team! While it is nice to have a spring tryout for a few reasons, it also poses a challenge for forecasting team sizes in the fall. To be cautious both myself and the OWHA Director for SSMHA decided that not filling the entire roster in the spring and having another evaluation in the fall when team size is firmed up would be in the best interest for the team and individuals.   At this time, I will be selecting the following 11 skaters and 2 goalies with the potential for a few remaining spots in the fall. The following positions will be up for election at the Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey Association Annual General Meeting, on Monday March 25th, 7:30pm @ Rotary Hall at the Saugeen Shores Plex.

Coaching application for the 2024/2025 Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) now open. The coaching application window will take place between 15Mar to 24Mar. Interviews to take place between 29Mar and 07Apr. Announcement of the OWHA Rep Coaches will be on 22Apr. Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey is once again partnering with HH Power Skating to offer development opportunities to our membership for OMHA and OWHA.

SSMHA will be facilitating one Minor Development (MD) Team in the U9 Division for the 2023/2024 Season. Evaluation skates will be held for those wishing to participate on the MD Team.
