U13B (OMHA), U13 (OMHA), 2023-2024 (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

The U13B Team sponsored by the Port Elgin Legion, travelled to Buffalo New York January 19th to take part in the 51st Annual Gene Harrington Winter Classic.  This tournament featured games at the outdoor complex at the Riverworks facility. The hours leading up to the tournament were filled with uncertainty, and even some tension, as our team was notified 48 hours before the tournament that we would be competing in a higher division, facing off against “A” Centres from across the Province and New York State. Last year the U13 B team hosted a food drive at their home games leading to up to Christmas, we plan to continue that tradition this year to help support those in need within our community.  All are welcome and encouraged to come cheer on the U13 team and bring a non-perishable item towards our donation. 

The U13 Rep B team would like to thank the Port Elgin Legion, Branch 340, for their long time, continued support of Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey. 

The Storm U13 B team, sponsored by the Port Elgin Legion Branch 340, travelled to Parry Sound for the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame Tournament November 3rd-5th, taking home silver!

Congratulations to the Saugeen Shores Storm U13 B team, champions of the Shallow Lake Classic tournament.  Their first game Friday October 27 ended in a tie against the Shallow Lake Lakers, score 1-1. Their next game was against the Thorold Blackhawks and Storm came out on top with a score of 4-1.  To end the first day of the tournament the Storm took on the Orillia Terriers and won 9-0.
