PeeWee C Girls, U13 (OMHA), 2017-2018 (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

Port Elgin Vet Clinic Pee Wee Girls (21-6-3) traveled to Woodstock to compete in the Annual Woodstock Wildcat Girls Hockey Tournament run January 5-7. The Girls finished a top the standing after the round robin with a perfect 3-0 record with wins over Wallaceberg (4-2), Woodstock (2-1) and Mitchell (4-1).  

The Port Elgin Vet Clinic Pee Wee Girls (17-5-3) have ended 2017 with a bang riding an 8 game unbeaten streak (7-0-1) while continuing to impress the coaches, trainers and parents with their high energy and commitment to becoming better hockey players.  

Hi Ladies: A very good effort for our first exhibition game of the year.  I saw a lot of good things and found a good baseline for what we need to work on.  Also noticeable was the size of the crowd, which seems comparable to crowds at the Tampa Bay Lightning home games.  Please be proud of yourself for being brave, taking some risks and giving a solid effort.  

       Thank you to all the girls for being brave and attending the tryouts for the Pee Wee "C" girls team.  To give some context to the tryout, there were 6 girls who played on this team last season who moved onto the Provincial Championship in April and 3 other girls who played with this team at some point during the year as an AP.  The evaluators were impressed with the amount of effort that every girl gave.  The evaluators were 2 coaches, 3 former Saugeen Shores Winterhawks Players, and one former player from the Ripley Wolves.
